Slot Rules
The
rules to slots are quite simple.
There
is a horizontal line across the window of the slot machine. If a certain combination
falls on the horizontal line when the reels stop, you are a winner. Payouts vary
by machine.
As a rule,
three-reel machines featuring bar symbols, with the traditional "7"
denoting the top prize, are your best bet. The jackpot will be relatively modest,
but so is the risk.
Four-
or five-reel slots, featuring single, double and triple bars, sevens, or other
emblems, usually offer a higher jackpot, but its harder to get.
You can drop as many chips as you wish into the slot
but only one chip is played by default. You can click "BET ONE" button
to increase your bet by one chip. The maximum number of chips that can be played
in one round is three. You can click "BET MAX" button to bet three chips
right away.
Slots generally
fall into two categories - straight slots and
progressive slots. A straight slot will pay your winning combinations according
to a predetermined schedule. A progressive slot machine will pay you in a similar
way unless you hit the progressive jackpot. When you hit the jackpot, you typically
win a huge sum of money. In a progressive slot game, a percentage of each coin
dropped in the slot machine is added to the jackpot. If no one hits a jackpot
in a while, it can grow to be quite large. (Some
pooled jackpots Online can grow quite large.)
